Duncan Moir

Emily Smart is Chief Product Officer, Investments at Aberdeen Group Plc, a role she has held since December 2021. She and her team are responsible for collaborating across the business and driving product innovation, delivery, and management across public and private asset classes. She also oversees Investments marketing, ensuring brand and product positioning supports the firm's commercial capabilities and offerings.

Smart joined Aberdeen in 2013 as an Institutional Client Director, a position she held for five years before moving into the product function in 2018. She subsequently served as Global Head of Product Strategy (Public Markets) from April 2017 to August 2019, then as Global Head of Product, Public Markets from August 2019 to December 2021. Prior to Aberdeen, she spent approximately ten years in wealth management, first as a Hedge Fund Specialist at UBS from March 2005 to August 2010, then as a Hedge Fund Product Specialist at Barclays Wealth Management from August 2010 to February 2013.
